On Thursday, September 30th, we will be hosting OCC speakers Mark & Cherry Brumbelow from Grace Baptist Church in Wild Peach, Texas. If you have not heard of the Brumbelows, they have been packing shoeboxes since 2003 with their church that had 25 members at that time. When they began, they asked the question, "How many shoeboxes can we afford to pack?" In 2013, they started asking a different question, "God, what do you want us to do?" That is when their shoebox packing ministry took off. They began packing hundreds of shoeboxes, then thousands with their little congregation. I do not have the numbers they packed in 2020, but I do know that in 2019 their little church of 51 members packed 11,139 shoebox gifts. We will be blessed to hear their testimony on Thursday, September 30th of how God has used their tiny church in the shoebox ministry, and how in turn, God has even reached out and saved their own family members after the powerful testimony of the shoebox ministry. This event will take place at the Sublette Christian Church at 7:00pm. I will email a flyer for this event soon.
